- Shipment must be made via a traceable method with delivery confirmation or even signature confirmation. Therefore, a handling fee is applicable to cover these costs.
- We are unable to ship to a P.O. Box, APO addresses or US territories.
- We will ship to the correct address you provide. We must have an accurate full street address and phone number. We are responsible for shipping only when the correct information is given for delivery. If a product is returned for wrong address you will be notified and you will be re-billed for the freight for re-shipping the product. If the address is not completely correct and our carrier imposes in-transit address correction charges (EXAMPLE: you use Street and it should have been Avenue) additional charges may apply.
- We do our best to get your shipment(s) to you in time. But once the package is delivered to the courier it is out of our control. Packaging We use Ecologically Safe, Recyclable Packaging: PET Bottles & Jars, Glass Bottles, Plain Paper Recyclable Labels, Rafia and other Ecologically Friendly Packaging. It's what inside our packaging that counts. Special care is given to fragile glass products. All items are individually bubble wrapped and packed securely in a sturdy parcel box. Good packing is what we're known for and we use plenty of bubblewrap and styrofoam peanuts for protection.
2CO New Fraud Detection Program Upgrade As a part of 2Checkout.com's (2CO) continuing commitment to increased credit card and consumer identity security, 2CO announced the new upgrade to its Fraud Detection Program on 18th August 2005.
The fraud detection upgrade means that customers can shop with more confidence. According to this new upgrade, all orders made by a customer are subjected to an automated fraud screening routine. This routine automatically examines each and every order placed. Suspect orders are manually reviewed by a trained member of 2CO fraud prevention team. Orders that are proven and determined to be fraudulent are cancelled. Orders that are not obviously fraudulent but are suspect are put in an "On Hold" status and are reviewed further. Accordingly, vendors should refrain from shipping any sale until they receive a confirmation email from 2CO that indicates a sale has been reviewed and it has a status of PASSED (fraud-free). Order Processing Time If you are ordering by credit card or online check, your order will be examined and then processed by our online credit card payments processor(2Checkout.com). Please note that online credit card processing usually takes 24-48 hours.

For orders paid through Western Union, the money transfer will be picked up from the nearest Western Union office within 24 hours from receiving the MTCN number.
If you are in a hurry or on a tight schedule, kindly let us know the estimated maximum date which you would like to receive your order by. You can simply insert this info in the "Comments Text Area" that you will find during the checkout process.
Shipping Time After your order is processed, it usually takes up to 5 business days to get it ready for shipping (unless otherwise specified for particular products). This applies to all in-stock stuff orders. If we are temporarily out of an item, you will be notified of the expected shipping date. You will be able to choose and decide either we replace the out-of-stock items with others in stock and of equivalent value or simply refund you the amount of money you paid for those particular items.
Due to the evolving worldwide recession resulted from the World Economic Crisis, we can ONLY keep limited stock of most items. This may result in a delay in shipping. Also, kindly note that we keep "0" stock of glass items since they are fragile. So, your order will be shipped as soon as your glass items received from the glass craftsmen. We apologize for the inconvenience. We do appreciate your patience and understanding.
Delivery Information Delivery time depends on the shipping method you choose during your checkout process. In most cases, once your order is shipped you should be receiving it within 5-7 business days (from the date of shipping) if express shipping is selected via either of DHL, FEDEX, TNT, or UPS. However, if ARAMEX or EMS regular shipping is selected, you should be receiving your order within 7-15 business days (from the date of shipping).
However, in some cases, delivery of merchandise may experience a delay due to:
- There is no delivery on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays in the USA, Europian Countries, Australia or New Zealand.
- The heightened security measures that have been taken throughout the world since Sep 11, 2001. This is beyond our control and our shipper's control - we ask for your patience.
In the light of the above-mentioned info, please allow upto 20-25 business days for delivery (US addresses) or 25-30 business days for delivery (non-US addresses).
If you did not receive your order within a maximum of 30 business days from the date your order had been processed (US addresses) or 35 business days (non-US addresses), kindly contact us. Please include your order ID in all email inquiries.
We recommend that you provide an address at which someone will be present to receive the package during normal business hours. If no one is present, the package will be held at the courier selected location for recipient pickup within a week since the recipient's signature is required. A government-issued photo ID is required when picking up a shipment.
Shipments of Egyptian statues, papyrus, brass and MOP inlaid items might be subject to a shipping delay of around 10-15 days. According to the law, such shipments should be inspected by the Egyptian competent authorities in order to obtain export approval. The export approval is obtained once these items are proven to be only a reproduction; NOT genuine pieces. Such procedures may result in a delay in delivery accordingly. EgyptTalks shall NOT be held responsible for that.
When you order statues, papyrus, brass and/or MOP items, please be advised to select EMS as your shipping method. This is due to the fact that EMS efficiently handles such shipments all through the inspection process. Even if you choosed a courier other than EMS, your package data will eventually be transmitted to EMS. EgyptTalks shall NOT be held responsible for that.
EgyptTalks is NOT responsible for service transit time. This information is provided by the carrier and excludes weekends and holidays. Please note that transit times may vary, particularly during peak periods.
For credit card payments, your shipping address MUST match the cardholder address. In other words, shipment MUST be made to the credit card billing address. We CAN NOT ship to your work address or to your cousin's or your friend's house. Our credit card payments processing (2Checkout.com) uses an address verification system (AVS) - this means we will ONLY ship to the same address that the credit card bill is received. This protects all of us from fraud.
If you absolutely must have the order shipped to an address other than your credit card billing address, you should contact 2Checkout.com (our credit card payments processor) for shipping address verification purposes. Otherwise, you may consider:
1. Western Union Money Transfer in the funds, or
2. Bank Wire Transfer: Please contact us for details.
3. Send us a check: Please add $5.00 to the final value of merchandise purchased for bank fees. Please write your check payable to our webmaster (you MUST first contact us for details). Allow up to 30 business days for the check to clear. (We know that is too long, but...).
