The Eye of Horus is a symbol of Protection on Ancient Egypt. The Eye of Horus was one of the most common amulets of ancient Egypt. This highly stylized eye of the falcon-head, solar and sky God Horus (the Latin version of Hor) is associated with regeneration, health, and prosperity. Also it has become associated with the esoteric and the occult. Other names for the eye is Udjat, Utchat, or Wedjat meaning The Sound Eye.
Eyes were particularly common as amulets, as were gemstones; the best-known eye amulet being the ancient Egyptian Eye of Horus which is associated with regeneration, health, and prosperity. It was very common as an amulet in ancient Egypt since ancient Egyptians were imbued with the belief that the Eye of Horus has magical properties to ward off the evil eye or evil.
